I have not settled car insurance claim, but want to buy insure car.Amend annual total later?

Hello. I have still claim unsettled, but accident was not my fault. Other party admitted liability. But I am buying another car and want insure it. The problem is, that if your case is not settled yet you paying more for new insurance. Is there is a way to amend total as soon as case will be settled, without extra charges tho?
Thank you for help. By the way I want to insure it with TESCO and car is in the UK.

    You need to talk to the insurer about that as maybe some will and some wont – i suspect none will
